Hi, I’m Rachael Hartman.

Since I was a child, writing has been a therapeutic and healing tool for me. Writing helps me to release past pain and move forward. Through the writing process, I gain a positive perspective and new information that helps me reframe what I’ve been through. It has led me to what researchers call “post-traumatic growth.” I love that term.

After writing five books of my own, working with other authors has become my story. Developing authors and publishing their books gives me great purpose. I love to see my authors living out their victory through writing and publishing.

I work with life stories, children’s books, educational resources, and books on cultural, and leadership.

My Approach

It all begins with a story. Maybe you have a business, ministry, or service you offer, and you want to share your story along with what you are doing. A book is a great way to connect to others, identify yourself as an expert in your field, and share who you are with the world without having to spend time verbally retelling the story over and over again. Whatever your reasoning, the way you share your story can make all the difference. Let me help you navigate that process with professional editing, writing, and design services. I am a trauma-informed publisher who can help navigate publishing even the most difficult of our stories with dignity.

I have a Master of Science degree in Human Services with a Specialization in Counseling, a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree with a Minor in Writing, and a Bachelor’s degree in Theology. I was raised in an active-duty military family, the daughter of an Army Chaplain turned pastor. My faith, education, and personal life experiences have given me solid ground to stand on, an open mind to create and think through complex situations, and compassion for those who have experienced loss, trauma, and brokenness. Many books I’ve worked with cover difficult topics our generations face - situations that seem to have no answers, but yet the story always has that thread of hope named Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Write it

Don’t worry about everything being perfect. Just write. Once you have the first draft of your manuscript on paper, I step in to edit, ensuring the readability, flow, and grammar of your draft are ready for publication.

Be clear, be confident, and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve. Your book will take on a life of its own.
